ADD Automotive develops ADD A CAT Catalytic Converter Shields to provide vehicle-specific protection against catalytic converter theft.
Campo Sheet Metal Works provides the manufacturing expertise that helps turn those designs into finished protection products.
This relationship allows ADD Automotive to combine our knowledge of catalytic converter theft protection and vehicle-specific applications with Campo's extensive sheet metal fabrication capabilities.

How ADD A CAT Shields Are Built
ADD A CAT shields aren't designed as universal pieces of sheet metal. Each application is developed around the vehicle it is intended to protect.
Key ADD A CAT features include:
- 3/32-inch 5052 marine-grade aluminum
- One-piece shield designs
- Louvers for optimum ventilation
- Proprietary security bolts
- Security bit included with the hardware kit
- Vehicle-specific designs
- Bolt-on installation
- No drilling required on designed applications
- Approximately 20-minute installation on many applications

Why 5052 Marine-Grade Aluminum?
ADD Automotive selected 5052 aluminum for ADD A CAT shields because it provides an excellent combination of strength, corrosion resistance and weight.
The shield is intended to create a substantial physical obstacle between a thief and the catalytic converter without adding the unnecessary weight associated with much heavier materials.
Ventilation louvers are incorporated into the designs to promote airflow around the protected components.
